Do you know the cautions for use of Ultrasonic open channel flowmeter

- Jan 05, 2021-

Since the discovery of ultrasonic wave, it has been widely used in all kinds of fields. In recent years, the application of ultrasonic open channel flowmeter in flow measurement is more and more popular. Let's take a look at the ultrasonic open channel flow meter, what are the cautions for use?

1. Operation

The technicians often do not follow standard operating procedures, such as They did not accurately measure the pipe diameter, circumference, wall thickness, contact temperature, etc. These parameters will have an important effect on the original data correction of the ultrasonic open channel flowmeter.

2. Mounting methods

Technicians often do not choose the proper mounting methods based on pipeline size and signal strength, just select the default two-path mode of the flowmeter. The right mounting methods are: we should adopt the mono mode in large pipe and complex environments. And we should adopt the Multi-path mode in small pipe and cases with very strong signal.

3. Mounting position

The installer should select the horizontal middle position of the pipe to place the ultrasonic probe. The measured pipe must be full so as to ensure the accuracy of the measurement. The selected pipe must also be a vertical pipe with fluid flowing upwards.
